Palm Springs’ latest hotel going for the gay traveler is getting ready to open and plans to begin accepting reservations Feb. 7.

Random Haus, a collection of 12 luxury condominiums on San Lorenzo Road, provides all the sleekest appliances, full-time housekeeping and concierge services and more. Nightly rates for the units, which range in size from 1,100 to 2,100 square feet, go from $395 to $795.

“So essentially, these are all presidential suites,” said Lance Robutz, project manager, in an interview several months ago.

Unlike many gay hotel/resorts in Palm Springs, Random Haus will not be clothing optional. Developers say they want to broaden their market to gay families with children, a growing segment of the gay demographic.
