Bears, cut the hibernation short this year and come down to Palm Springs for President’s Day weekend.

International Bear Convergence, the newest bear and bear admirer event of its kind, will premier Feb. 13-17, and adds to the growing list of LGBT events Palms Springs is known for.

Details are still coming in, though organizers say the weekend will feature “international talent,” with dances, beer busts, pool parties and a grand finale concert with a headline performer.

The gathering is planned for the Renaissance Palm Springs, the same host hotel used by the White Party, the Dinah Shore weekend and other large events, in part because of its size and connection to the Palm Springs Convention Center.
